  RPCVs Larry Geiter and Allan Seigel  volunteer at the Feeding South Florida warehouse in Pembroke Park on most Thursdays.

  
  

  RPCVSF has a team that volunteers as a group on the third Saturday of each month.

  
  

  Please contact Larry Geiter or Allan Siegel by Thursday before the Saturday you wish to volunteer to join in with the Saturday team.

  Our participation in Give Miami Day assists our Changemaking Education Award.  The honored educators go beyond the curriculum to integrate the classroom learning into a broader community ... the school, neighborhood, city, country, world.  Their perspective is broadened and ideally a "can do" attitude develops.  The Honorees are very appreciative and the adjective inspiring is used by many to describe the evening.

  
  

  Annual expenses for the award have been running between $3,000 and $4,000.  Funds donated through Give Miami Day have been very helpful in meeting the costs.

  RPCVSF member Subrata Basu is an award winning artist. He is well known for his watercolors and his photography. He has loved paining since his teens. He is a licensed architect as well as an urban and regional planner. After retiring from Miami-Dade County, Subrata joined the Peace Corps and served in Belize from March 2011 to July 2014.
  

  
  

  Subrata is a Signature member of the Miami Watercolor Society and a member of the Florida Watercolor Society.

  Please join us for our annual Holiday Party!
  

  This is a time to socialize with other RPCVSF members and guests.

  Please bring a dish to share. We need appetizers, main and side dishes and desserts.

  Some wine will be provided, but if you'd prefer beer or something else, please BYOB.

  After dinner, we will have a white elephant gift exchange, so bring something you no longer love and hope someone new will adore it. Please wrap this gift so it’s a surprise.
  

  We are also collecting unwrapped toys for the RCMA center east of Homestead.
