Dr. Paul George is a Professor of History at Miami-Dade College, Wolfson Campus, historian to the Historical Association of Southern Florida, author, and member of the county’s Preservation Board -- to name only a few of the ways he is involved in documenting the history of South Florida.  (Read more at

http://www.bayfrontparkmiami.com/pages/history/historyPGeorge.html)    And, of course, he also conducts his ever-popular history tours of Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe Counties!

To get there, you can drive and find parking (easy on Saturday), or take Metrorail and cut out the polluting emissions your car would have produced.  Get off at the Historic Overtown/Lyric Theatre Station (100 NW 6 Street) and stroll 3 blocks north and 2 blocks west to 950 NW 3rd Ave.  Are you 65 or older and a resident of Miami-Dade?  Get your Golden Passport to ride the rail and bus for free - save on gas and parking.
