  • RPCVSF Members' Retreat

Registration is closed
RPCVSF is hosting our members' retreat - a relaxing weekend in Key Largo for RPCVs. Last year more than 50 RPCVs and their families and friends enjoyed a great weekend together - we hope you'll be with us this year.

We'll be staying at a waterfront resort with a small beach, and kayaking, sailing, snorkeling and SCUBA diving are available.  Rooms are $99 or less (2 persons per room).  Reservations can be made directly with the resort: (305) 451-3595 or and be sure to tell them you are with the Peace Corps Volunteers group. (If we book lots of rooms, we might be able to get a bigger discount on the rooms.)  Kids are very welcome - last year we had more than a dozen kids of all ages.

For those who arrive on Friday evening, our Peace Corps recruiter, Steve Hunsicker, will be hosting an information session for PCV applicants from 5-7 at Tower of Pizza in Key Largo - everyone is welcome to attend. We'll plan for a group dinner at Tower of Pizza after the information session.

On Saturday morning, we'll gather at 11:00 am for introductions and then lunch. Saturday afternoon is free time for kayaking, swimming or hanging out in hammocks by the water.  The Resort has a special Coral Restoration Nursery/Planting Coral event that day, and we are invited to participate as divers/snorkelers ($85 per person includes the morning briefing and afternoon dive).

We'll end the day with a group cookout dinner at approx. 6 pm on Saturday evening, with some RPCV story telling.

We'll bring all the food for Saturday's breakfast, lunch and dinner and snacks and drinks for the afternoon - we ask that you contribute $10 per person for food, and BYOB if you want an adult beverage.

If you have questions about the Retreat, please contact Virginia at

We look forward to seeing you in the Keys!

Please note that our Retreat will happen rain or shine - there is plenty of covered patio space and we have rented a couple of large apartments at the Resort with indoor living areas.
