Assemble 100,000 Meals in Just 1 Day

  • 28 Mar 2015
  • 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Gaines Park, 1501 North Australian Ave., West Palm Beach

Please join RPCV Tony Lafoso (Colombia '74-'77) and his wife Blanca at this important community event on Saturday, March 28, when hundreds of volunteers will assemble 100,000 meals in just 1 day! Tony is a Rotarian and he invites RPCVs to attend this fun and inspiring service day hosted by the West Palm Beach Rotary Club, Palm Beach County Food Bank and Racing to the Rescue, at Gaines Park, 1501 North Australian Ave., West Palm Beach, from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.

More than 57% of Palm Beach County children qualify for free or discounted school lunch and 180,000 adults in Palm Beach County live at or below the poverty level. In this county, one of the richest counties in Florida (and the US), almost 200,000 area residents do not know where their next meal will come from. Please plan to participate in this meaningful volunteer activity and meet your neighbors!
