Going to the RPCVSF Annual Picnic? Why not come and stay all weekend? Oleta has abundant trails, kayaking, and mountain biking. We have reserved the Group Camp site that has a pavilion, restrooms, and cold showers. If you are interested in attending but need camping gear please contact the President, Virginia at emmons@educatetomorrow.org The cabins are sold out, though a few may become available on the day, however we have the Area 1 - Group Site, near the ranger station.
Even if you aren't camping, please join us for kayaking on Saturday morning. You can rent kayaks and canoes and stand-up paddleboards at the Park, or let us know and we'll try to bring extra for you. Please contact Daryl Wall, Ecuador 1971-73 [darylwall@bellsouth.net (305) 491-9399] or Barbara Junge, Togo 1985-87 [bajunge@gmail.com (305) 992-7037] if you are interested in kayaking. We plan to meet at 11:00 on Saturday morning in Parking Lot 1 (the closest to the equipment rental complex). This is easy kayaking - through mangrove trails or in the waters surrounding Oleta State Park.
