The Peace Corps Director is coming to Miami!
You are invited to celebrate your Peace Corps service with a special Peace Corps week event at the University of Miami. Acting Peace Corps Director Carrie Hessler-Radelet [RPCV Western Samoa, 1981-83] will be there to meet with South Florida RPCVs and Peace Corps applicants.
In addition, the President of the University of Miami, Donna Shalala, will share her experiences as a volunteer and the positive influence Peace Corps service had on her career. We will also be recognizing President Shalala for 50 years of service since she completed her service in Iran.
At this event you also can talk live via video-chat with current volunteers from their country of service. Find out what Peace Corps service is like now and how it has changed since you were a volunteer.
Because space is limited, we are asking everyone to RSVP. Reserve your seat at http://tinyurl.com/UM2014. If you are bringing a guest, please make sure you also RSVP that person as well.
This event is sponsored by Peace Corps and the Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of South Florida (RPCVSF.) It is free and open to the public.
