Kiss the Ground Film and Panel Discussion

  • 06 Jan 2021
  • 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Zoom

Did you know that 30 to 40 percent of greenhouse emissions come from agriculture and that changing the way we grow our food can go a long way in reversing global warming?

Join RPCVs for Environmental Action, Citizens' Climate Lobby and Business Climate Leaders to learn more with Kiss the Ground, an award-winning film that says the answer to climate change is as much in the soil as in the sky.  The cure to climate change has been here this whole time, and it's right under our feet.  Kiss the Ground is a full-length feature documentary that focuses on regenerative agriculture and soil health as a leading solution to the climate crisis.

Watch the film and post-screening panel Q&A.  We will discuss the ways that our relationship to food and farming directly impacts the planet as a whole.  The panel includes RPCV?Panama Florence Reed, founder of Sustainable Harvest; Finian Makepeace, Co-Founder of Kiss the Ground; Calla Rose Ostrander, independent consultant in the regenerative agricultural space; and Klaus Mager, agriculture sector leader of Business Climate Leaders, an action team of Citizens' Climate Lobby.

When we're farming right, we can regenerate our soil, build community, strengthen local economies, promote biodiversity, restore ecosystems, fight climate change, and heal our bodies.
