Everglades Outing
our biggest annual service event, we will host 140 children for their first visit to Everglades National Park. To volunteer, please RSVP.
Registration is closed
RPCVSF has hosted this event each year for the past 15 years and we rely on more than 100 volunteers to make sure that the guest children have a very high quality educational and fun day.
Professional naturalists and Park Rangers will guide our guests on a walk along Anhinga Trail, and will lead walks through the pinelands near our picnic lunch area at Long Pine Key. The primary goal of this event is to expose kids to the Everglades from an educational perspective undefined particularly those kids who have not visited the Park before and may not have the opportunity to participate in school science class field trips.
We also aim to have lots of fun and volunteers will play a few games with the kids and try to answer any questions they might have about what they’ve seen on the guided walks. We’ll provide lunch for all guest children and the ENP will waive entrance fees for the guest children. Volunteers are asked to carpool – the ENP entrance fee is $10 per car.
