Please join us for a great meal of Haitian food and the chance to hear Bernard Fils-Aime share an update about the important work of the Haitian Education and Leadership Program (H.E.L.P.). H.E.L.P. provides scholarships and a supportive environment for Haiti's top students, encouraging them to stay in Haiti and achieve their dream of a higher education.
First introduced to RPCVSF by Jennifer MacCormack, a Haiti RPCV, H.E.L.P. has been very dear to our organization ... in addition to past fundraising events like this dinner, the majority of our Fair Trade Market's profits for the past 10 years have been sent to H.E.L.P. and in January 2015 several of our members vacationed in Haiti and visited H.E.L.P. in Port-au-Prince.
We are fortunate to have Bernard, one of the Directors of H.E.L.P., visit with us to bring us current news about the successes, and challenges, of the H.E.L.P. students. For more information about this special organization, please come to dinner, and also visit their website:

Dinner will be at the home of Barbara Junge (Togo, '85-'87) in northeast Miami, and space is limited to 30 people - specific directions to Barbara's home will be provided when you register. Since this is a catered event, please register by Monday, June 20, to be sure we order adequate food.
Haitian food will be served, along with assorted beverages. A contribution of $20 covers the cost of the food (RPCVSF board members are donating the beverages and other items). No need to bring anything other than your desire to hear about H.E.L.P.'s great work and hopefully your desire to support their ongoing work. A minimum donation of $15 is requested for H.E.L.P. If you would like to support H.E.L.P. and can't attend the dinner, please click here to make a donation via RPCVSF - please indicate that your donation is for H.E.L.P.: Donations
