Work in Guatemala is going really well. I work with a association of indigenous pod pea producers in the western highlands. It's beautiful here (pictures attached) but really cold. I work mostly with implementing good agricultural practices like soil conservation and appropriate pest management. I'm also running test plots of chia to see if it could work as an alternative cash crop. But the tastiest part of my job is teaching nutrition and cooking classes. Have you ever tried putting finely grated beets in pancake batter? It's a surprisingly delicious way to eat more veggies! Thanks for keeping in touch.
