Connecting with American University

19 Oct 2019 11:00 AM | Anonymous member (Administrator)

My name is Matthew Forrester and I am writing on behalf of the School of International Service (SIS) at American University.  In addition to working with the Office of Graduate Enrollment, I have the honor of being the coordinator for the Peace Corps Coverdell Program. I wanted to reach out to your organization to introduce myself and let you know that I will be holding an informational session next week in Miami.

I’ll be at the Greenstreet Café at 11:00am on Saturday, October 19 to meet with individuals who are interested in learning more about our graduate programs.  If you like, feel free to spread the word to your members to see if they, or anyone they know, might be interested in attending.  As the Coverdell Coordinator, I would like to highlight that SIS is proud to offer a minimum of 25% of all tuition and mandatory fees guaranteed as the benefit to all recipients of the Coverdell Fellowship.

SIS is a top-10 school of international affairs located in Washington, D.C. The SIS mission of public service, environmental stewardship, human rights, and social justice align naturally with the Peace Corps ideals of promoting world peace and friendship. SIS RPCVs partner with local community partners and schools to apply the experience and skills they gained in the Peace Corps to serve the local D.C. community.

If you’re interested in sharing this event with your members, I’d be happy to provide you with additional information, such as how participants can register.  Please let me know if you have any questions about SIS or the event.   Thanks for considering this request and hope to hear from you soon.
